A missionary couple visited our church a few months ago. They told us about an orphanage and women’s shelter they built in Africa, My wife and I were moved by their portrayal of the hardships these women faced. We enthusiastically gave $600 that Sunday to support one women for an entire year through their ministry. Through the investigations by DR Scott, we discovered the fraudulent claims by this couple and they have never returned to our church since he confronted them. I am thankful that I only lost $600 of my hard earned money instead of, who knows how many months of support to a fictitious cause, preying on the good nature of people.
